Subject: Why bother?
I started watching this to see Miss Lois Wilson. Since she died at 10:04 I was released from any obligation to finish this turkey.

Subject: What the hey?
Did I see the same movie that other people saw? How could a movie called Laughing at Life and is supposedly a comedy be about some attempted coup in a fictional South American country be so lame? I mean, this premise worked in the Marx Bros Animal Crackers but totally fails. The thing is not funny, its awkwardly paced, confusingly plotted and badly edited. Victor Mclaglen is a darn fine actor, but unfortunately this material doesnt do him justice at all.

Subject: Attention Getter
The scenes change frequently, so this movie works for those souls with short attention spans. One enjoys the action, and the subtle humour that intervenes from time to time. The acting is adequate.

Subject: Just couldn't enjoy it
I just can't agree with the others. The story and the acting were just mediocre at best. It was almost painful to watch.

I loved this show also. This in a way has happened to me. I just wasn't as lucky as the guy in this movie.

Well worth watchin'. Most can relate to this show in one way or another. Kinda hits one's heart strings. It hit the hell outta mine.

Well worth the download folks.

Subject: Victor McLaglen's Star Quality
What a charismatic performance from Victor McLaglen! Imagine an actor with the physique of John Wayne, and the charm of Cary Grant -- that's McLaglen. In 1935, two years after making "Laugh at Life", he won the Best Actor Oscar for "The Informer", but even in this corny adventure yarn, you can see his star quality.

Victor McLagen is the star and gives a lively performance. This is not a film for the critic. Please no nit-picking. Just sit back ,enjoy the good company, laugh and be in a happy mood at the end..Not recommended for sophisticated people ,.
